Yes. Each one of those characters is a different Kanji. No, this chart doesn't even have every Kanji on it.
If you want to be able to read a Japanese newspaper flawlessly, you'll have to know about 2,000 Kanji. If you want to know every Kanji, you'll have to memorize some 6,000 characters. ... SO LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!

This is an excellent Kanji dictionary to begin learning and looking up Kanji that you don't know. If you want to jump right ahead and start reading Japanese comics, go ahead and get this! I still have mine from high school (I've had to glue it a lot), and I still use it!
